Vertical Jib Socks

Vertical Jib Socks

This jib sock is used as an alternative to rolling up the sail at the end of the day; it is a separate piece of gear hung vertically above the rolled sail. While the sail is hoisted, the sock is elevated on its own halyard and zipped around the sail at the top. The lacing lines are tightened when fully raised to make a close fit between the sock and the furled genoa.

As with mainsail covers and biminis, the Jib Sock is constructed from UV-resistant materials, allowing it to blend in with the rest of the boat's protective covers.
