Genneker Sails
The gennaker is an excellent choice as a general-purpose downwind sail for reaching and (nearly) running. Furthermore, a gennaker is much simpler to rig and fly than a symmetric spinnaker due to the elimination of the requirement for a spinnaker pole. It combines the asymmetric profile of a genoa with the girth (width) of a spinnaker.
